It still is owned and operated by the original family and has the necessary staff and stand-by personnel to process large volumes of calls. The company was conceived when the founders had a family emergency and the necessary people could not be contacted. It then was decided that there had to be a way for people to contact people. With that premise, Long Island, New York's first paging system was established followed by a combined telephone answering service which later expanded into a professional Call Center.
