SHIPPING - FULFILLMENT

Many clients prefer to ship their products from their own facility; however, for those who prefer to have everything outsourced, RELAY provides it all.  Bulk products are stored and shipped through a business partnership arrangement with a major warehouse and shipment facility.

All inbound orders are processed by RELAY in a duel format with one copy of the transaction going to the client via E-Mail and the other automatically going to the warehouse via electronic data transfer. Complete tracking of the order, after it is processed and transferred, is provided by the warehouse. Inventory reduction reporting is provided by both the warehouse and by RELAY.

The warehouse can provide international shipping in addition to its conventional domestic service. All major shipping companies are used based on the most economical for the client’s particular purpose. Any of the leading shipping companies can be selected by the client if a preference is requested. Products are shipped directly to the warehouse by the client or by the client’s supplier.  

COMPARISON OF A DUAL SOURCE vs A SINGLE SOURCE

LOWER COST: The client contracts for each service separately and pays the lowest cost provided by the Call Center and the warehouse respectively.

NO ADD ON COSTS: Quite often a Call Center, that contracts directly with a warehouse, will add a surcharge to the costs of the warehouse and pass it on to the client. This does not happen when the client contracts separately.

LARGER SINGLE FACILITIES: Quite often a large single facility with a combined Call Center and a warehouse will have higher minimum set-up and billing requirements.

EFFICIENCY and CONTROL: RELAY believes that a Call Center specializing only in processing telephone orders; plus, a warehouse specializing only in shipping products serves the client with more efficiency because each company can control its respective operation much better.
